Homework for Monday 6th
November
1°L LELE
Your task: Write an extract from your
own « autobiography »
Choose a specific event or episode that you remember, a memory from your
childhood, for example it can be a very embarrassing episode, a funny, joyful
or sad moment … but it must be described as a special moment, something that tells a little bit about yourself.
You should:
-write in the first person and in the
past tense
-include details about the setting
(time, place, people …)
-include at least one dialogue
-describe your feelings, emotions
-find your own “I” or “eye” to tell
the story
→ Don’t
forget that the story will sound more “realistic” if you are telling the truth, or maybe "your truth".
Advice: before you start, ask yourself the following questions:
How do I look back on that moment? Why
was it special? Why do I remember it? What does it tell about me? Why do I want
to share it or to write about it?
It
may help you find your own “voice”.
